How To Survive An All-Nighter And Have A Blast This New Year
Another year has gone by and you’re all set to party your way into the new year. Planning on partying from dusk to dawn on New Year’s Eve? There are somethings that you might want to consider if you’re planning on surviving an all-nighter. Here’s a list that will help.
1. Daylight savings on sleep
Now there’s no point feeling tired and fatigued before the countdown to 2017 even begins, right? So, catch up on about 2 to 3 hours of daytime sleep on 31st December so that you will have peak energy levels to dance away into 2017.
2. Don’t drink like a fish
New Year’s Eve for most is all about drinking and partying to the fullest. Although, if you want to truly enjoy the party, there’s no point getting sozzled out of your mind before 12am. So maybe you should start drinking late, have plenty of food between drinks and make sure you tank up on water than alcohol.
3. Take pre-emptive hangover measures
Partying from dusk to dawn is great, but with a bad hangover you would probably be dealing with headaches, nausea and fatigue from dawn to dusk on 1st January. Go pre-emptive with some Vitamin B tablets before you start drinking, it helps your body metabolize alcohol faster. Have a full hearty meal before you sleep and drink plenty of water while you’re partying.
4. Revelling is great, brawling isn’t
New Year is a time of bonding, partying and fun. Picking fights just create bad memories (and ends the party early too). Everybody will have opinions, even more when they’re a little tipsy. Brushing them off as opinions and nothing more is good for everyone. Besides, there’s nothing personal while partying.
5. Crashing at a friend’s place is better than crashing on the road
We all turn into heroes after a few drinks, some of us even develop superpowers. Simply surviving is more important than surviving an all-nighter. You would want to talk about 2017 when you step into 2018’s New Year’s Eve, wouldn’t you? So party responsibly and live to talk about it.
