Introducing You To The Top DJs Performing Live At SUNBURN 2014

Sunburn is unleashing itself for the 8th year and is bringing in the most biggest and sought-after names in electronic music to Goa. This year the legends will not lay low as the Sunburn Goa 2014 provides a massive line-up of artists like Paul Oakenfold, DJ Sasha and Knife Party.

Let us know these artists up close and personal, with Smirnoff, and get a clue of how they are going to rock our world:

Paul Oakenfold

This name has rocked stages all across the globe. He has been a major influence in the shaping of acid house and various other genres of electronic music. He began his career in late 1970s by playing jazz, soul and acid house. Oakenfold’s major breakthrough in America was his performance in Fresno on 22nd July 2000, where he performed alongside legends like Chemical Brothers and Carl Cox.

“Bunkka” was his first studio album which was released in 2002. It instantly became the best seller with over 1 million copies sold worldwide.

DJ Sasha

He is considered the Wizard of Oz of progressive/ electronic music. DJ Sasha is lesser known as Alexander Paul Cole in the EDM scene. He began his career playing acid house dance music in the late 1980s. He did international tours partnering with fellow DJ John Digweed and produced mixes for artists like Madonna, Chemical Brothers & Hot Chip.

Joining forces with John Digweed, DJ Sasha released triple-CD mix album named Renaissance – The Mix Collection. He moved on with his own production work and produced the single “Be as One”, which was #17 on the UK singles chart.

Knife Party

Knife Party consist of Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen who are legends in drum & bass, rock and electronica. The Australian based duo has shot up to fame quicker than space rocket. If you listen to their music you would agree that they completely deserve it.

The journey began when Rob Swire released a short preview on Sound Cloud entitled “Not Pendulum” and from that time onwards there has been no looking back.  They released their first EP named “100% No Modern Talking” which topped the sounds of Electro House, Dubstep, Moombahton and Drumstep in 2011.
