Mark, the bar manager from Rasta OnePlace mixes some mean drinks. This festive season is going to be no exception and it will be easy to have one too many followed by the dreaded hangover next morning. Since Mark is the man responsible for morning sickness, we asked him to list out some great hangover cures.

Water: Alcohol dehydrates the body, so the numero uno on our list of cures is this simple essential. Drinking plenty of water should quell that pounding headache in no time. Another thing to remember is to drinking water before heading to bed to help prevent some painful hangover symptoms but grabbing the water bottle in the morning won’t hurt either.

Lemon Sense: Critic and fresh - lime helps at giving hangover the heave-ho. For best results add two teaspoons of fresh lime juice and a teaspoon of honey to a glass of water and a dash of angostura bitters for fun.

Peppermint tea: Peppermint is like a wonder drug. It is soothing, it works as a digestive aid, helps relieve tension, bloating and speeds up the process of detoxification. What more can you ask for on a hungover morning. One warm cup of tea should help relieve you of the symptoms.

Apple: An apple a day, keeps the hangover at bay. Eating an apple on an empty stomach is a great quick fix. Apples have antioxidants, fruit sugars and it helps speed up your body’s natural detoxification process.

Hot Toddy - You might think having a cocktail is the last thing you wanna do, but believe it or not it is a solution. This drink is made with brandy, honey and hot water along with traditional Indian spices like pepper powder.

Enjoy Responsibly this festive season.
