When someone says they don’t need money to have fun, they must be very, very rich. And so it is with Hollywood star Matt Damon, who confessed to an American magazine last week that he’s had the most fun ever, back in his twenties, with buddy Ben Affleck — at a time when they were both basically jobless.
Recalling their younger days, the 44-year-old ‘Bourne Identity’ actor said, “Those times were fun! We had a great time! We were young, we didn’t have the kinds of fears that you have when you get into your forties… if you haven’t gotten to where you want to go. We were in our twenties and we just had a blast!”
Looking back with fondness, Matt laughs about how he’d have lunch with his ‘Good Will Hunting’ co-star Ben in their high school canteen while they were both waiting for that elusive big break. “We used to have business lunches together in high school when we had no business to talk about,” is Matt’s endearing revelation. These days of course, with their collective net worth pegged at $150 million — a cool $75 million each— that certainly isn’t the case any longer!
