She’s been called a bimbo, but anyone who thinks that of Paris Hilton doesn’t quite know the girl. Behind all that blonde and bling is an astute businesswoman, who has made close to $1.5 billion from her line of eponymous fragrances alone. With more than 50 Paris Hilton boutiques worldwide (India included), Paris uses that ‘party girl’ image to sell everything from handbags, hairbands and hair extensions to shoes, watches and craft supplies.
Now, not content to rest on her laurels, Paris is looking to scale-up her business — and we do mean that literally! The pink papers are buzzing with news that the Hilton heiress is venturing into real estate, with a line of luxury hotels scheduled for launch in New York, Las Vegas and Dubai. While this is not her first brush with the real estate world, this enterprise will certainly be bigger than any previous associations. It is also, we hear, the culmination of a lifelong dream for Paris to have her own hospitality brand; since her family has long been associated with the hotel industry (her great-grandfather Conrad Hilton founded the Hilton hotel chain).
While launch dates are yet to be revealed, we can tell you that these hotels will feature the beach theme Paris first embraced while partnering with property giants Century Properties in the Philippines, back in 2010. Will Paris take Manhattan and will what happens in Vegas be replicated in Dubai? We’ll just have to wait and see!
