You wouldn’t think of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as a poster girl for good business practice, but even when she puts everything on display, there’s more to her than meets the eye! Believe it or not, being a smart entrepreneur has ensured that Rosie is currently at the top of the leader board — as Britain’s highest-earning model.

Outranking the iconic Kate Moss and social media queen Cara Delevingne (who were also listed by Forbes as being within the top 15), Rosie has carved out a lucrative career for herself, without following the pack. Instead of chasing the luxury labels and fronting campaigns for the world’s most premier brands, Rosie has rubbed shoulders with High Street fashion moguls, to become “the hottest property” at local shopping centres in the UK and around the world.

To land a long-term contract with Marks & Spencer in 2012, Rosie sacrificed her status as an official Victoria’s Secret model — but even without those angel wings, Whiteley continued to soar. Her ‘Rosie for Autograph’ underwear currently reigns as Marks & Spencer’s fastest-selling range. Considering one-third of the women in the UK alone wear an M&S bra, you can be assured that is no small achievement.

Call it a bold move or an astute business decision, but opting to pave her own path in an industry that generally rah-rahs only the most elite, has helped Rosie rise. While others still sneer at mass market labels, Rosie — now the fifth highest earning model in the world — finds herself laughing all the way to the bank!
