Make A Vodka Melon

There are some concoctions that are more enticing because of their exotic preparation and presentation. Like the Vodka Melon! It is pretty remarkable that something as simple as pouring or injecting vodka into watermelon can result in a creation so delectable.

Take a small watermelon (try and get one with as few seeds as possible; the seeds soak up the vodka, which is quite a waste) and about 350ml of Vladivar Lemon Zest Vodka. The lemon flavour will add that extra zing to an already fun and potent blend. With a sharp knife, carve out a hole into the watermelon so that the red flesh of the fruit is visible. Pour small amounts of Vladivar Lemon Zest Vodka into the fruit. (Expert bartenders prefer injecting the vodka into the watermelon via a syringe—if you plan on trying this method at home, do note that you will need to make a second hole to let air escape from the melon).

Keep adding the vodka till the entire 350ml has been absorbed—this may take a while, several hours in fact. Refrigerate the watermelon, and let it lie for at least a day to ensure that the Lemon Zest flavours are completely absorbed. You can also put the watermelon into a freezer if you prefer to dig into ice cold delicious scoops.
