A Sweet Victory : KKR vs KXIP
Two victories in a row, they have done it and although it wasn't a high scoring game but then the real competition is in the low scoring games. A win by 2 runs might not be a huge win but nevertheless it is a win. A great last over from Harmeet Singh changed the match, as KKR failed to score 9 runs which was required for them to emerge victorious. One may be satisfied with a huge win against their opponents, but a close win really pumps up your confidence and helps the team immensely in building their momentum.
Kolkata Knight Riders vs. Kings XI Punjab, the odds were favouring KKR but the Kings emerged victorious because of their awesome bowling and fielding performances throughout the game. It was certain that if we win, the party would be long and win is what we got.
The Eden gardens didn't have much of KXIP fans but this didn't affect the KXIP players at all. All the KXIP fans at the hotel were eagerly waiting for the team to be back from the stadium. When they arrived, there was a huge cheer and the whole team was welcomed graciously with the cake waiting to be cut. “Yes, we deserve the party but it's just the start and we have a long way to go” said Bipul Sharma when he was asked about their great victory against KKR.
It certainly was a great win and that wasn't the end of it. Late at night the whole team got together for the IPL after match party. All the members from the KXIP group were present and everyone had a great time celebrating their hard earned victory. The star of the party was Mandeep Singh (Mandy) who burned the dance floor with his Punjabi dancing moves.
David Miller and Shaun Marsh were also in the groove. They may not speak good Punjabi but their attempt at Bhangra was fabulous. Adam Gilchrist was having a great time with his family and also posed for a few photographs with fans. The management team had a great time too at the party. Everyone had a huge smile on their faces and it felt as though a huge weight was taken off their shoulders. The good times were finally here.
