The ABBA reunion at a celebrity party that has left the world hoping for more!

‘People need love’… and an entire generation of people need ABBA too — so it comes as no surprise that the pop group’s recent ‘reunion’ is making headlines worldwide. The Swedish band reunited for the first time in eight years on Wednesday, January 20; allowing photographers a rare opportunity to snap up shots of the wildly successful quartet together in the same frame after almost a decade.

Attending the opening of an ABBA-themed restaurant — aptly-named ‘Mamma Mia! The Party’ — band member Björn Ulvaeus told reporters that this joint appearance should not be considered an indication that ABBA will ever return to the stage together. “We are here to party,” he said, adding that the break they took from performing together in 1982 is “still a break and will remain so.”

The last time we saw the iconic pop group make a public appearance together was for the launch of the 2008 ‘Mamma Mia!’ movie, starring Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan and Amanda Seyfried.

While fans wonder what it will take to induce an actual reunion, we’re content just to see the Seventies’ stars partying it up and having some fun in native Stockholm.
