Jennifer Aniston’s bold bikini promise

Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston inspired a haircut that defined the Nineties, but that isn’t the contribution to popular culture we’re applauding her for. In a recent chat with ‘People’ magazine, Jen boldly took on body-haters with an impassioned view, saying she believes people should concern themselves less with what other people look like.

“If I can be the first 80-year-old to go out there successfully in a bikini, then I’ll take that on. I don’t think anybody needs to rein in anything because of an age. That is absolute BS. To each his own! Everybody needs to stay in his own backyard,” says the actress, who turns 47 next month.

The media and aam junta alike jump at every opportunity to point out cellulite (especially when seen on stars) and while Aniston has rarely been at the receiving end of criticism for her body, she stands up in support of those who have been hurt by personal onslaughts of this nature.

We’re hoping the beauteous Jen keeps her itty-bitty bikini promise at 80, while we raise a toast to her strong stand against body-haters in a world that already has so many victims battling eating disorders and poor body image. Paving the path for a healthier future — simply by being less judgemental — certainly wins our vote.
