One factor that sets the Indian Premier League apart from all other formats of cricket is the crowd that cheers for the game. The entire feeling of favouritism that people have towards the different franchisees is impeccable.
Amongst the eight different franchisees that compete against each other in the league, Mumbai Indians have maximum fan following, the reason being obvious. Mrs Ambani’s squad definitely witnessed a dry spell at the start of the season, but soon got back on their feet once the game came back to India. With their sincere efforts and the well-wishes of their fans, they defeated a very good team like the Rajasthan Royals, to make it to the play-offs. The elimination round saw them competing against the always on top team, Chennai Super Kings.
We were really disheartened when CSK’s Suresh Raina and David Hussey washed off Mumbai’s dream to make it to the finals. All the efforts Corey Anderson invested have all gone in vain. Better luck next year guys!
