The Pune Party Circuit
Pune might be a small and constantly trying to ape its big brother Mumbai but when it comes to its nightlife, this city seems to be doing just fine. Despite the 11.30 pm deadline, it has still managed to have enough bars, clubs, pubs to enjoy a night out making this a fun city to party in. Don't believe me, then here's our round up of fun places to visit when you're in Pune.
High Spirits - This popular resto-bar is almost every local's second home. High Spirits is known for their crazy theme parties, especially the Halloween one where everyone dresses up, the full moon party where you literally feel like you're in Thailand and drinking out of colourful plastic buckets! It's home to a lot of great gigs and bands from across the country, and all genres of music come to perform here. Its relaxed laid back vibe and fun crowd gives it a fantastic vibe and any day of the week, there is something happening to entertain you. If you're in Pune city, this is one place you MUST visit.
Euriska - This Greek themed restaurant has a distinct Mediterranean vibe to it with its pristine all-white decor and sumptuous Greek food, but at night it turns into one crazy party and you'd think you're at a beach party somewhere in Santorini or Croatia. Euriska in Greek means 'new discovery' and it's definitely a new discovery for Pune as it's unlike any other restaurant or bar in the city. In the day, it's a relaxed even romantic place for a traditional Greek meal, but at night it turns into one rocking party with guest dj's and live acts attracting huge crowds.
Kue Bar - This Latin themed nightclub, situated at the Westin Hotel in Pune, seems to be the jewel in its crown. One part of the club where the music is thumping is slightly separates from the other part which is partially open air and makes sure that the music doesn't reach outside thus making this a great lounge area. It's almost as if the nightclub with loud music is inside and the chic and stylish bar with beautiful red and black coloured decor is outside. The al fresco space is quite large with a long bar fully loaded and bartenders ready to dish out delicious drinks. This is a very popular place in the city and not always the easiest to get into.
Pasha - Perched up on the 24th floor of the Marriott Hotel, Pasha has a stunning ariel view of the city and at night it looks beautiful when it's all lit up. The dress code is strictly formal and unlike most rooftop bars, you won't find Sushi Platters and Sliders as the food featured here is typically North Indian. It's not a place where you'd find a teeny bopper crowd, in fact it comes across as a more elite establishment, and with a cocktail list of heady potent mixtures, it's become a go to place for people who enjoy good food, liquor and want to enjoy a different more mature ambience.
