T20 Fever hits Pune
PUNE – This small city has always been in Mumbai's shadow but if you look closely it has more than enough to offer. High Spirits - a fast growing and ever popular joint High Spirits has become the unofficial party play ground of the city. Known for its live gigs and insanely crazy theme parties this local hotspot is always buzzing with people. Lesser known fact is that on a game night due importance is given with screens and food and alcohol flowing to keep the enthusiasm alive.
Arc Asia - This restaurant has changed the way Pune does a Sunday brunch. With their live bands, karaoke nights and amazing menu this two year old restaurant is becoming increasingly popular and with good reason. But on game night it's extra special. With a crowd of hungry cricket fans, beer flowing, some potent cocktails, superb food and the match screened on a super sized screen, this is one place you do NOT want to miss watching the match!
Evviva The Sky Lounge at the Courtyard By Marriott City Centre- As the name suggests this is a roof top open air bar with a lovely sky high city view. On any night it's a great place to dine at but on Game night they really get into the IPL spirit. With multiple plasma screens to watch the match on and special T20 beer buckets and even a specially crafted menu featuring T20 inspired cocktails this is the place where fans can get into the spirit and really enjoy their game.
Olive Bistro - This popular chain has its outlets in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore but the one in Pune is charming, chic and has a relaxed environment. Thursday is their popular night with special DJs and themes but this season they're making every T20 night a special one. With discounts ( Rs 1000 for unlimited Indian made foreign liquor) delicious food and a great crowd, Olive becomes a great place to watch the match.
Volare - Situated in Baner and known for its Punjabi fare, Volare is a great setting for watching matches while munching on some good food. With special T20 offers through the season during all matches (4 beers and 1 starter for Rs 599) it's a great setting for cricket fans.
