Smokey’s BBQ & Grill, New Delhi
Shiv Karan Singh’s new restaurant in the Capital offers a hearty culinary experience—the grills are flavoursome and succulent and the barbeques are juicy, spicy and melt-in-your-mouth delicious.
You’d better be a glutton to enjoy the food at Smokey’s BBQ & Grill. For the portions are large and you simply cannot stop at just one dish. For starters, we highly recommend the Loaded Potato Skins (barbequed potato with a delicious creamy topping) that pairs perfectly with the zingy Cucumber Spitzer. We also tried the Grilled Red Harissa (the fish was fresh and aromatic), the Lamb Kibbeh (spicy and succulent) and the Kasundi-marinated Grilled Fish (which could do with a little less salt).
If you have a big appetite, order the Super Boy Burger for the main course. You’ll need to open your mouth real wide to accommodate this huge burger that has a patty of lamb, chicken and bacon. We took the slightly less-large option and tried the subtle yet spicy Smokey’s Styled Spaghetti that was filling and enjoyable. The Chermoula Spiced Prawns were great, as was the Grilled Chicken Breast smoked in Reshampatti chilli. We finished the meal on a dessert high with the Molten Chocolate Cake that comes with a generous scoop of ice-cream.
