Summer is all about having fun. As a child there was nothing more enjoyable than looking forward to a time when you can let go, sleep in late, hang out with your friends and blissfully ignore anything work related. It was about taking vacations and hanging out with your friends. Just because you're an adult now doesn't mean all the fun comes to a screeching halt. In fact it's just beginning. As the weather heats up, it's up to you to find things to cool you down. Here are our top 5 things you could do to spice up your summer.

Cooking class - Everyone has someone at home that prepares your meals doesn't mean that you can't learn how to. Gone are the days where cooking was a woman dominated area, and most of the top chefs around the world are men. Cooking can be highly therapeutic and great fun. Join a class to teach you the basic fundamentals and you'll be surprised how enjoyable it can be to whip up your own pasta or better yet, surprised your loved one with a homemade cheesecake.

Adventure Sport - While any sport is always a great way to release energy and de-stress, the ones that give you a thrill and a wild sense of adventure are the best. Summer is the perfect time to take a break from your hectic routine and get indulged in some adventure. From bungee jumping, paragliding, rock climbing or even dirt bike riding - the choice is yours and the adventure awaits you!

Work out for a beach bod - For every girl who wants to drop a couple of kgs, there is a boy who wants to build up his abs. Be it fitness, health or vanity- whatever the reason, this is the season to work out and show off your toned physique. After all, if you're splashing about in the pool or frolicking by the beach, you want to be confident about your body.

Take a Dance class - Come on guys, no one likes the person with two left feet or who's embarrassed to get on the dance floor. This is the perfect time to join a dance class and shed your inhibitions. It could be a structured dance like salsa or jazz or even a freestyle Bollywood class or a fun hip hop mix. It's a great way to meet new people, learn how to let loose and a great work out while you're at it!

Visit an Amusement park - If you think rollercoasters and rides are for children, think again. There is no age limit to being goofy and having a great time. Summer is the perfect time to take a holiday and head to a theme park closest to you. From sugary candy floss, lots of food, super fast rollercoasters and themed rides - there is a lot to indulge in and you can spend the entire day lost at one of these parks and it still wouldn't be enough!
