When you work long hours and have to battle crazy bosses, demanding clients and a generally stressful work day, all you look forward to is some time spent with your friends chilling. Mumbai has a lot of great places to visit with your friends be it restaurants, clubs or even movie theatres. We thought to make your life a wee bit easier and picking some fun spots which we think are ideal to kick it with your friends.
Woodside Inn - This is pretty much everyone's favourite watering hole. It's done up to remind you of an old classic English pub or tavern and makes you feel like you're hanging out at a friend's place more than a bar. Everything about this place from decor to food and music even is geared to make you feel comfortable, casual and just enjoy yourself with your mates. This is one bar in the city that offers a range of beers on their menu from all over the world and on certain days in the month they host their beer tasting session which are a hit with all their patrons. I mean what group of friends wouldn't want to sign up for an evening of sampling a host of beers that aren't that easily available?
Aer - There is no rooftop bar quite like Aer at the Four Seasons Hotel in Mumbai. With a panoramic view of the city quite unlike any other, this is the closest you'll get to partying in the sky. While a lot of people fine Aer a perfect spot for a couple, many forget that once the sun goes down, the music turns up and it transforms into THE place to kick it with your pals. Book a table or hang by the bar, either way this is a super stylish space and no one has ever left disappointed.
Soul Fry - This restaurant didn't make out fun places to hang out with your friends list for any other reason than it's kickass curry rice and insanely popular Monday night Karaoke session. This doesn't really rank anywhere in terms of ambience or decor but then no one visits this place for that. It's got some superb coastal seafood and it's Bandra's best spot for Karaoke and has been for many years. It's a great spot on a Monday night to come get drunk and sing your heart out with your pals. If you're lucky, you might even spot a celebrity or two as many have been known to pop in on occasion.
Blue Frog - If you want a night with your buddies that includes some fantastic cocktails, delicious bar nibbles and kick ass musical entertainment then all roads must lead to Blue Frog. It is one of the coolest spots in the city that doubles up as a restaurant as well dishing out excellent food and is the preferred spot for many musical acts, standup comedy gigs and all sorts of performances in general. It's a great spot to hang out with your friends and watch some of your favourite bands perform.
Ghetto - This dark dingy hole in the wall pub is nothing in comparison to the rest that made to this list, but for many folks, good ol' ghetto is THE spot to chill with their friends. There are some veteran patrons that you will spot regularly and even some newbies but with classic rock and metal blaring through their speakers, low tables and chairs filled with people and their neon coloured graffiti walls that are covered with artwork and scribbles on every single inch - it's the spot where you feel most at home. The biggest attraction at Ghetto are their pool tables and it's the most relaxed place where you can grab a beer, shoot some pool with your friends and have a great time without worrying about a dress code or an expensive bill at the end of the night.
