The Serai, Jaisalmer - Camping doesn't only mean parking yourself in a tent in the middle of a jungle. Dessert camping, out in the middle of vast nothingness with sand dunes till the eye can see is a pleasure in its self. This isn't for the faint hearted as the heat is definitely the biggest factor to battle, but if you have cash to splash then the Serai is a great way to explore the Thar dessert and Jaisalmer in style. Tents over a thousand square feet in size with all the trappings of luxury, tents for dining , a pool area smack in the middle of the dessert and even your own private spa and walled in garden should you wish it. Of course such comfort comes at a price but if it's right then this is an experience most people only dream of or read about in fairy tales.
