The international trends and excitement always have a delayed reaction in our country.­ In some cases you don't even realize what options you have while planning a holiday. Adventure freaks plan their holidays abroad around various activities they get to do. Little do they know, they don't actually have to trek half way across the world. More and more options for recreation, holiday and sport are available so you can plan your travel within the country and enjoy yourself.

Zorbing - Remember those dreams where you often find yourself free falling. Now, you can literally chase that dream with a thrilling new sport knows as Zorbing. Widely popular all over the world, it has has now found a home in India as well. Of course safety precautions are taken and you're heavily strapped inside the ball to avoid any injury. So, if you're looking for some major adrenaline rush, you will surely enjoy this ball of thrill.

Kite Surfing – A combination of water sport, gymnastics, surfing , paragliding and many other, the idea of being harnessed to a power kite is a high on its own. The movement of the kite is completely dependent on the velocity of the wind and yes, it sounds as risky as it looks. It might be a little difficult but not impossible to indulge in some kite surfing in India; a country where this sport still has a lot of catching up to do. It's also one of the fastest growing water sports in the world. So if you like the thrill of high tide and water, then this one is right up your alley.

White water rafting – Powering and canoeing your way through an intense gushing river is what White water rafting is all about. It's an intense recreational sport that gets you pumped up so high the minute you're out of the raft that it makes you feel all mighty invincible. An adventure sport which could be performed in a group or solely, trick is to make sure you don't topple over while rowing as that can get exceedingly dangerous. Then again, if there isn't any element of danger at all, where's the fun in that!

Bungee Jumping - The thrill of jumping off a ledge, harnessed by your legs, and dangled upside down is a feeling that is hard to explain. The rush is easily addictive and one of the reasons that makes people go at it again and again. A great way to also overcome the fear of heights, if you are itching for something fun, this is the perfect sport for you. Also you don't have to fly to another country to jump in the air, just find your way to Lonavala.

Scuba Diving - A certain amount of training is required before diving your way in to the under world . It's a recreational experience one needs to go through at least once. The view is undeniably breathtaking and a sense of calm and serenity spreads inside you. You don't need to fly off to Malaysia or South Africa for this experience now as India too has been christened a home for several new dive spots. You just have to find them!
