Purple Valley Yoga Retreat

Purple Valley Ashtanga Yoga Retreat is a peaceful haven amidst sandy beaches and the azure Arabian Sea. Located in a peaceful valley in Assagao, North Goa, between Anjuna beach and the small market town of Mapusa, it is set in landscaped tropical gardens. There are communal areas for eating and relaxing and private spaces for contemplation and meditation. It is quiet and safe and the ideal place for a yoga retreat holiday. Devaaya

Devaaya Ayurveda and Nature Cure Centre is situated on Divar Island, just 10km from Panaji, and is set on a lush five-acre property amidst swaying palms. It consists of 60 luxurious rooms built in true Goan style. The ambience, the serenity and the spiritual vibes make Devaaya a paradise, especially for yoga lovers. It also provides genuine alternate medical healthcare like ayurveda, naturopathy and nature cure to address various problems caused by modern lifestyles. Raw Food Goa

This place is a raw vegan diet lover’s paradise. Located at Arambol, north of the Chapora River, Matt and Tanja who own the café swear by the variety of raw produce available in Goa. Considering that none of the food is cooked above a temperature of 420C, tastes are vastly different from their heavily cooked counterparts. But once the taste for this kind of cuisine has been acquired, it’s going to be hard to break the habit. The vegetarian sushi comes highly recommended, as does the raw food lasagna, gooseberry smoothie and raw cacao shake. They also have select days and occasions where they serve a sumptuous six-course raw food meal.

Located on Ashwem beach, one of the most tranquil water spaces in Goa, Sushumna is a great place to rejuvenate the mind, body and soul and energise the senses. Sessions are held amidst the tranquillity of a beautiful garden surrounded by an abundance of fields, palm trees and hills. Sushumna Yoga School has two studios that are spacious, airy, well-equipped and surrounded by greenery and flowers.
