Central Park in NYC - Amidst a concrete jungle, Central Park in New York City is like an oasis of calm and serenity. It's become an iconic place thanks to books, movies and television and is integral to every New Yorker. The park has even played host to many musical concerts and fundraisers, and it's tough to get bored here. There are many pathways and playgrounds and it's one of the best spots in the city to relax and enjoy yourself.

Hyde Park in London - One of London's biggest and most prolific parks is of course, Hyde Park. It was once a private deer hunting park for Henry the VIII. It's home to a beautiful rose garden, sculptures and even a memorial. Tourists and locals both flock to the park to enjoy a lazy day on the grass, to relax and unwind or have their children run free and play. The park is also a popular venue for concerts and plays and has been the stage for many famous artists like Pink Floyd, Queen, The Rolling Stones and many more.

Volkspark Friedrichshain in Berlin - Found in 1840, this is Berlin's oldest public park. Apart from examining the abundant socialist monuments, you can laze, enjoy the breeze and cool greenery, catch an outdoor film that's screening or even watch the children splash about the Fairytale Fountain which was built in 1913 specially for children. It's got more than a 100-fairytale figures.

Brindavan Gardens in Mysore - These beautiful gardens that took almost 4 years to build attract over 2 million tourists each year. The garden has beautiful sculptures of animals made out of shrubs and plant trimmings, an array of colourful flowers and of course the biggest attraction being the musical fountain which spurts water synchronized to music. The gardens are nothing short of exquisite and are open to public. They make a great spot to unwind, relax and just soak up all the natural beauty.

Ueno Park in Tokyo - What use to be the site of a former Japanese temple is now one of the most popular spots in Tokyo city. It's the primary spot for rest, relaxation and rejuvenation in this bustling city. The massive park is home to Shinto shrines, the city zoo as well as museums! It's the ideal spot to take a break and get away.
