The pressure of hosting a party at home goes beyond just food and beverages. You need to think of everything right from the invitations up to the party giveaways for all your guests. And as the host you want your home party to have a lasting impression on your friends. Your OCD inevitably kicks in and before you know it you turn into Monica Geller, the paranoid host who has to ensure that her party is the best party. Luckily for you we are giving you a few tips to take the pressure off.
First things first: Invites
What is your party about? Is it an engagement party, birthday, festival or just a regular Saturday night? depending on the occasion you can come up with a great theme and funky invitations to match your theme. The invites can be memorable, inexpensive and a great way to bond with the family; turn the activity into a family bonding session. Here is a fun DIY invitation idea. Blow the balloon to read the party details. And, hey! this works for any theme.

Keep Boredom Away
As the host you can’t tend to the caterers, bartenders, housekeeping and leave your guests to fend for themselves. Don’t stress yourself out by trying to be in all places at one time. Instead bring everyone together by organising some party games or turn your living room into a stage and promote some local talent. Go ahead and invite your neighbourhood band to come and perform for your guests. A private concert is sure to keep your guests wowed!

Leave richer….for the experience?
Cute party giveaways will keep your guests reminded of what a great time they had at your party whenever they look at it. Get creative labels that can be put on miniatures so your guests take away the alcohol but get to keep their memories (or at least “A” memory of the night.) Go all out with embarrassing pictures, incidents, jokes or important dates, depending on your reason to celebrate.
