What To Wear For A Cricket Match

Soon the IPL season will dawn upon us and we have enough ads reassuring that the trend this season will be IPL. You have tickets booked for a few favorite matches and all set to have a great time with friends and family at the game. It is perfectly fine to lounge around at home in your pajamas but they cannot be your style manifest for the watching it at the stadium. Here are few tips to help you look stylishwhile at the game.

The Jersey: This should be your go to piece. Sport your favorite team’s jersey or play neutral by sporting a plain one. They are supremely comfortable and perfect for a warm day. However do not forget to wear a cotton vest inside since jerseys are mostly made of synthetic fabrics this will help maintain balance.

Tees and shirts: If you want to give the jersey-ed look a miss, turn to casual t-shirts and shirts. Let them not be too loud in terms of prints. Wear either a plain shirt or opt for a simple checkered one. Keep in mind to wear natural fabrics as staying out for a whole morning or evening can get quite uncomfortable in the sun with synthetic ones sticking to your body.

Bottoms:Since it is summer time you’re comfortable bet would be a pair of good old shorts. Wear cargos, jeans or cotton shorts. If trousers happen to be your preference then a pair of fitted but airy jeans or khakis are ideal keeping both comfort and style in mind.

Accessories: It has been well established that sun is going to be on your side constantly. You obviously want to concentrate on the game and not bothered about the heat. Make sure you carry a good pair of glares and a hat along to save your head and face from the harsh effects of the sun.

Shoes: Lastly one of the most important elements; shoes. Wear your most comfortable as matches involve you being on your feet mostly. Canvas, loafers or good sport shoes are ideal. However the open feet ones are complete no-no.

The idea is not to fuss over what you are wearing, be comfortable and have a blast at the games.
