Derby Fashion Tips For Men

The Signature Premier Indian Derby will be held on the 2nd and 3rd of Feb in Mumbai. Fashion and glamour are a big part of this event, so if you are heading out there, make sure you dress for the part. For the men, we help you out, by putting together a small guide to what you can wear at the Derby.

1.Sports Jacket – If you are aiming to making a statement, wear a sports jacket. You can wear it in any colour but advisable ones are light blue, white or beige. Remember it’s going to be hot and so avoid dark shades. But if you prefer a more muted approach, we suggest a plaid jacket in a light grey colour.

2.Invest in pastels – The safest approach is to wear a white dress shirt. But for that extra bit of style, try a shirt in pastel colours. This gives a more refined look to your overall appearance. Alternatively you can also get accessories like a tie or pocket square in pastel shades of pink and blue.

3.Trousers – If you are the one to experiment, trousers in bright colours like red are for you. For the less adventurous, khaki coloured or light gray trousers work best with almost every kind of shirt and jacket pairing.

4.Sunglasses – The Derby starts in the afternoon, so this is your chance to flaunt your favourite pair of sunglasses. Aviators, Wayfarers or the ‘John Lennon’ ones…get a pair you are comfortable with.

5.Oxfords - A typical derby event has a lot of walking to do. So you better bring your most comfortable pair of shoes. You can put on a pair of white sneakers for a sharp contrast to your overall outfit. But if you want to complement your attire, a pair of brown oxfords should be your choice of footwear.
