Though most offices are air conditioned, stay clear of heavy suites. The feel of heavy fabrics against your body during summer can be a bane. Also these fabrics tend to increase your body temperature. Stick to spring suites which are made of light weight fabrics and let your body breathe throughout the day. You could also ditch the suites altogether and opt for waist coats which are both smart and formal.

Linen seems like the perfect for material for Indian weather, it does feel heavenly but can soil easily due to wrinkles and creasing making you look damp. If you have an important meeting or a promotion discussion due, this is not the impression you want to make. This does not mean you have to run to synthetic fabrics for solution, which will kill you silently. Instead opt for linen which is mixed with cotton. The cotton element holds the linen together and prevents wrinkling. Other options can be silk blended clothes but make sure they are not shiny. The richness of silk helps you look sharp and comfortable at the same time.
Dressing smart and adhering to rules may not be easy but with a little attention you can still look your winter best in the middle of scorching summer or pouring rain.
