5 ways To Make A Style Statement While Karaoke

Has the karaoke bug hit you too? We’d say it was about time because karaoke happens to be one of the most popular social habits. In particular, among many Asian countries like Singapore, Korea, China, Vietnam and Thailand, Karaoke has been somewhat of a culture. This trend has rubbed off on us as well and anyone who likes to wear their singing hat will certainly fancy this. But, we also know that standing on a pedestal and signing requires confidence. And this is directly proportional to how you look and feel. So what can you do to up your style game at a karaoke bar? Once your ensemble is on, add one of the following five elements to elevate your overall look.

Grooming: The first obviously noticeable thing while on stage is your face. Start from there. Make sure you have a neat hair cut. Ensure to shave or at least trim your beard.  Polish your teeth with an electric toothbrush for that extra shine. You might be coming in from work or from home but before grabbing that mike, freshen up for sure.

Head First: Your head, like your face will be the next prominent thing while on stage. You definitely have to pay attention to style it a bit. Either get a fancy hair cut and set it neatly with a gel or put on a hat. It can be either a beret or a fedora. Make sure the hat is not too loud with prints/patterns and opt for sober colors.

Put a waist coat on it: Waist coats are the easiest way to go spiff. Jackets also do the same job, but waist coats adds an element of unpredictability to any regular look. Wear them with jeans, wear them with formals or use them to layer. You could also pair them with formal shorts and T-Shirts.

Watches: These are timeless piece of machinery, which has been in style for years, right from its conception. Watches, in particular will be important because you will be holding the mike in your hand at all times while on stage. Be on the safer side and wear a classic piece. If wrist watches don’t seem to excite you try a pocket watch instead. Hang them from your coat, waist coat or trouser pockets.

Shoes: The only way to sign off a look is by wearing a pair of clean shoes in a good style.  We have mentioned this time and again only because it is that important.  Any look can be ruined with a bad pair of shoes. Similarly a good pair can elevate your style game. Clean sneakers, loafers, boat shoes and oxfords can be some of your go to options.
