It's Pitcher Time!

To party or not to party - that is the question! And if its the former, I suggest you some mouth-watering pitchers!!

Pitchers can be really fun while adding a nice community vibe. And if you really want to share the love, chuck the individual glasses, drop a few straws into that pitcher, hurdle up in a circle and go for glory! Chug chug... Slurp slurp... Till its time for a refill.

Pitchers are ideal for personal house parties, mad-scale alcohol festivals, walks on the beach, etc. A great time-saver for the guests & the bartender, it is much easier to prepare 5 drinks at once in a giant glass(pitcher) than separately.

So now most cocktails could get upsized into a pitcher, although mainly it would be tall drinks, fizzy drinks and slushy drinks.

Some all time favourite classics-in-pitchers are:

Margarita, Sangria, Mojito, Long Island Iced Tea, Blue Lagoon, Pina Colada, Bloody Mary, Sex on the Beach, Romanov-Redbull, Cuba Libre and the list goes on. Which ever cocktail you select just multiply the quantity of ingredients into the number of guests you would like to serve [keeping in mind the size of the pitcher too].

Here's the recipe for a Bloody Mary pitcher - (for 5 people in a 1.5lt pitcher)

Ingredients

Romanov vodka - 300ml

Tomato juice - 1 lt

Freshly squeezed lemon juice - 50-60 ml

Tabasco sauce - 8 ml (half tsp)

Worcestershire sauce - 10 ml (half tsp)

Salt & pepper

Method

Salt rim 5 whisky glasses or pilsners. (*To salt rim - hold glass upside down and gently rub a lemon slice on the rim of the glass. Dip in salt glass. Tap off excess salt.)

Pour the Romanov vodka, tomato juice, lemon juice, tabasco and Worcestershire sauce into the pitcher and stir with a long spoon. Add a pinch of pepper on the top.

Do not add ice in the pitcher. Drop a few cubes into every salt-rimmed glass and pour the concoction from the top. Add a celery stick for garnish.

Soak up the moment with a couple of these Bloody Mary pitchers with your wild bunch of friends! Cheers!!
