How Bollywood’s biggest stars celebrate Father’s Day

Salman Celebrate Father's Day

Last year, Bollywood’s biggest stars shared some of the most adorable Father’s Day wishes ever with their fans and fathers alike. Salman Khan called dad Salim the “original Bajrangi Bhaijaan,” alongside a shirtless picture of Sallu, dad Salim and brother Sohail. It was a hard act to follow, but Salman’s Dabangg co-star Sonakshi Sinha impressed us too — with a hand-drawn portrait featuring father Shatrughan Sinha and herself, and a message that called Sinha senior her “first and forever hero.”

Fun blast-from-the-past pictures were also the order of the day, with both Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor opting to upload baby pictures with dads Amitabh and Anil respectively. The most poignant messages of all, however, came from Karan Johar and Aditi Rao Hydari — both of whom lost their dads to disease several years ago. “Wish the world up above had visiting hours,” said Aditi, in a touching post.

Celebrities often hide their true selves, but an occasion like Father’s Day sometimes allows the world a peek behind the façade — with true and touching tributes to the men Bollywood’s biggest ‘heroes’ consider their personal heroes. Will this year’s tributes do the same? We will keep you posted!
